Run by the Manning - Great Lakes Group of the Australian Breastfeeding Association (ABA), these workshop-style sessions are designed for both the mother and her partner to attend. We aim to expand upon the knowledge you have gained at antenatal classes and to cover the basic information you will need to successfully breastfeed your new baby. If your partner is unable to attend or you are single, you might like to bring another support person with you.

Our sessions are conducted by qualified Australian Breastfeeding Association Counsellors and Community Educators.

Topics covered include:

• How breastfeeding works and how breastmilk is made
• How to breastfeed a new baby
• What to expect from a new baby
• Adjusting to parenthood, the effect of a new baby on the parent’s relationship
• The role of the father/partner in breastfeeding
• More about the Australian Breastfeeding Association

Cost: $70 per couple (concession available) and includes:

• 3 hour workshop-style session including light morning tea / supper and complimentary handout material.
• 12 months Subscription to the Australian Breastfeeding Association (valued at $50)
• “Breastfeeding … naturally” book valued at $34.95
